Arriving In Winnipeg

Our Airbnb

The Airbnb slept more than what we would need during this trip. We loved the style of the home and the way the owner renovated and set it all up.

The City View From Our Airbnb

Our Airbnb had a prime view of downtown Winnipeg. During the day or at night, this view was one that Bailey and I certainly spent a ton of time enjoying.

Walking to Downtown for a Hockey Game

One huge benefit of this Airbnb was the ability to walk downtown and not have to pay for parking, we just had to cross the river.

The Local Public Eatery

Before heading into the Jets game, we needed to grab a bite to eat and we found this place nearby the area. The food was incredible, so much so that we set reservations for the following night.

Winnipeg Jets Games

During our short visit to Winnipeg, Bailey and I were lucky enough to attend two Jets games at Canada Life Centre.

Warmups

Photographing hockey games is something I’ve been lucky to do much more frequently as of late, the goal is to make it to the NHL. For now, warmups with my iPhone are my only option currently, but I am impressed with what I was able to capture with just a phone.

Gametime

Walking into today’s game, I thought we were sitting in the upper level per usual, but then Bailey started walking down towards the lower bowl. She did what she so frequently does in surprising me with some sort of upgrade or event that I wasn’t expecting. We sat right behind the net the Jets shot at for two periods in the fourth row.

Post Game

The Jets would end up defeating the Blackhawks 6 to 3 and Bailey and I were lucky enough to run into our friend Jonathan who is an NHL photographer for the Jets.

Waking Up To A Stunning View Of Winnipeg

Before starting our day around the Peg, we had to enjoy a view that I’m not sure we would get tired of if we spent a much longer period of time here.

Heading Out For The Day

Today the focus is on watching the Toronto Blue Jays take on the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 2025 World Series at The Local Public Eatery.

Getting Coffee

There is a coffee shop in the line of shops on the back side of the Airbnb we were staying at.

CF Polo Park

Since tonight was a crucial game in the 2025 World Series between the Toronto Blue Jays and Los Angeles Dodgers and being in Canada, we figured what better place to purchase Blue Jays gear? Our first thought was SportChek in the CF Polo Park Mall.

Winnipeg Out The Window

One of the rooms at the Airbnb had some comfortable seats near this window, so Bailey and I certainly spent some time here just enjoying the view.

Watching the World Series in Canada

The first visit to Local Public Eatery yesterday was such a positive experience, we decided to reserve ourselves a spot for tonight to watch the Toronto Blue Jays take on the Los Angeles Dodgers in the World Series.

Winnipeg at Night

The walk back to the Airbnb gave me an excellent opportunity to photograph the city at night.

Checking Out Of The Airbnb

This morning was pretty foggy, but we still had a great view of the city for one last time before we had to check out of the Airbnb.

Grabbing a Coffee

We had some time to kill between checking out of the Airbnb and doors opening for the Jets game, so we grabbed a coffee.

Winnipeg Jets Game 2

The second game we were able to experience during this trip was the Pride Night game against the Pittsburgh Penguins. The Jets went on to pick up another win and the first three penalties of the game were by the big three on Pittsburgh (Crosby, Malkin, and Letang).

Chicken Delight

Before leaving Winnipeg, I had to get Chicken Delight, so we made a stop as we were driving out of the city.

Heading Back to the United States

Stopping In Fargo Overnight

We had a choice to make, do we drive the 10-ish hours straight back to Nebraska or do we stop in Fargo and get some rest. I pushed hard to stop in Fargo for some rest as I was exhausted. It also gave us a chance to watch game 7 of the World Series without distraction.
